CHERYL KELLY
My name is Cheryl Kelly and I am the Owner and Manager of Nelmes Pre-School. I have worked at Nelmes for 12 years and all of my four children attended their early years school days at this setting. I became really inspired to work in child care and education after seeing my first child perform in the setting’s Easter Concert which was both enjoyable and emotional for me as a mother. I get a huge amount of pleasure out of educating young children and will always do my best to ensure the children are stimulated, educated and enjoy their time at Nelmes.
I have a degree in Early Years Education which ensures that Nelmes Pre-School is Graduate Led and am also, alongside one of my colleagues the setting SENCO. I look forward to welcoming both children and parents to Nelmes Pre-School!
SIAN BRITON-WATKINS
My name is Sian and I thought you might like to know a little about me.
I am a Mum to four grown boys, three of whom attended the setting some years ago. I was delighted to join Nelmes Pre-school in September 2014 whilst I studied for my CACHE level 3 Diploma in Early Years. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge in the field of childcare and have worked alongside my colleagues to become Deputy Manager and SENCO.
It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to Nelmes Pre-school. It will be a wonderful time full of learning, adventure and fun, not to mention an incredible time of change. You will be amazed as you watch your child not only grow in confidence but bloom as a friend, artist, writer, scientist, mathematician, thinker and so much more!
I look forward to working with you and your child whilst they attend the setting and I am excited by the anticipation of the countless milestones we will reach together and those your child will reach as an individual. I believe that communication is key to your child’s success and I encourage you to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

JO LAMBERT
My name is Jo and I joined Nelmes Pre-School in March 2019.
After leaving school I studied a NNEB Diploma and qualified in Early Child Care in 1993. I have worked in Day Nursery and Pre-School settings where my previous roles have included Deputy Manager and SENDCo.
I have 3 children and took some time away from work to be a full time carer for my son who has ADHD, ODD and Aspergers. I have also worked for Havering Youth Service as a youth worker for 12 years, primarily working with young adults with special needs. I feel that being a parent of a child with special needs myself has helped me support parents with their own children as I can relate to their circumstances and feelings.
Being entrusted with your child whilst they are at Nelmes Pre-School is such a privilege and to be part of their early years journey is an absolute pleasure.

LIZ MILLER
My name is Liz, and I joined Nelmes Pre-School in November 2020. I have worked in the childcare industry since 2003, mostly in private Day Nurseries. My previous roles have included, year group leader of all age groups including 3mths-5years, the setting SENCO, and both Deputy Manager and Manager, while in these positions I have gained a vast knowledge and understanding of how the Early Years works and how to help young children learn and grown in a safe stimulating environment.
I have two daughters, both who are of Primary School age. I do truly believe that having my own children helps me to understand the fears and concerns of leaving your children in the care of others. I hope I will be able to offer both yourself and your child support during their time at Nelmes.
If you ever need to speak to me, I work in the setting Monday to Friday and am always available to talk to.
SOPHIE O’REILLY
My name is Sophie O’Reilly and I am the housekeeper at Nelmes Pre-School.
I am 29 and I have three young children, one who still attends Nelmes Pre-School.
As a parent and member of staff at Nelmes I can honestly say that I am overjoyed with the love and support that not just my children, but all the children receive from my colleagues here.
I used to work within healthcare helping adults across havering for many years. It was a very rewarding job and there’s nothing more I like knowing that everyone around me is well looked after.
I decided to go into childcare after I had my third child as I wanted to explore working with young children and I have not looked back since!

IRINA ROSCA
I have graduated the Early Years Educators Course in 2019 and previously I worked in Montessori nurseries.
To my work experience I can add the one as a mother of 2 boys. I find that my roles as an Early Years Practitioner and as a mother complement each other: I understand better my children’s holistic development, their needs and interests; and I practice my job beyond my working hours.
I will give my best to provide quality early childhood care and education to your child, to stimulate his/her curiosity and desire to learn through a lot of interesting activities related to specific topics and real-life routines and events.
I am thrilled to have joined such a wonderful team of experienced Early Years Practitioners here at Nelmes Pre-School. I look forward to meeting you all and contributing to your child’s progress.
AYSEN TURAN
My name is Aysen, I am excited to say that I have recently joined Nelmes pre-school in September 2024.
Both my children attended here and I had a great feeling about Nelmes from the very first day. The love & care the staff here have given my children made the transition so easy for both myself and them.
I have been so fortunate to be a stay at home mum for the past 5 years.
I have a 5 & 4 year old so would like to say that I have great experience with young children and I feel so privileged to be a part of your children’s journey and growth.

KELLY SPINDLER
My name is Kelly and I have been the Admin Assistant here at Nelmes Pre-School since March 2024.
I have a Level 4 Early Years Practice qualification and 15 years’ experience in Early Years & Childcare including holding management positions in Nurseries and Wraparound Care.
My role as Admin Assistant allows the incredible team here at Nelmes to focus less on administrative tasks, instead dedicating their time to creating stimulating learning experiences to support the development of your children.
I work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – 9.30am to 2.30pm.
